Diana carries a slightly thicker frame than the usual petite midlander. Muscles defined by both her former work as a free-paladin and her busy days on the farm. Her silhouette more pear than hourglass. Many scars litter her frame from the battles she has faced, to the smaller scuffles during escort missions. Though, what will definitely draw one's attention is the many, finer scars peppering across her upper cheeks to right at her brow line. A closer inspection one might note the splotches of a cloudy haze too speckled over her corneas. Whatever happened, she is lucky to have kept the majority of her mismatched, golden and umber gaze. While unfortunate to be saddled with those unsightly scars, Diana has surprisingly pleasing features, always adorned with a cheesy grin or disgruntled scowl.

Her cadence is a small, smooth drawl. A stark contrast to those common in Thanalan in general. While a kind and generous soul, the midlander can have a temper and will let you know about it. She can sometimes be boisterous, teasing, even a touch chaotic and goofy, only wanting to see those close to her smile. She may flirt casually but nothing will come of it most of the time.

Born to a chocobo handler's life thanks in part to her maternal side of the family, Diana has known nothing but the big yellow(and sometimes other color) birds. She was raised some malms away with an older brother-- north of Camp Drybone.Wanting to venture forth, her brother chose to pursue the Sultansworn to bring in more funds for the family-- also having believed he was never good with the flock. Diana then saw her brother with pride and envy, wishing to be the same knight he became. Noticing his sister's attention, he taught her everything he knew, and bestowed his paladin crystal to her. With this, he retired to a quiet life to start a family. Meanwhile, Diana took to a free paladin's life like a duck to water and assisted her former free company on missions.It wasn't until some time later that Diana received an nearly debilitating injury to her eyes did she lay down her sword and shield and returned to the family farm.
She now assists the world in other ways-- supplying "bomb proof" chocobos to the grand companies and free companies who wish to receive such well trained birds. She is also known to offer coin donations for those attempting to rebuild their lives, if her family coffer allows it from time to time.She can now be found lurking around the Quicksand. Despite some of the unsavory patrons, this establishment brings fond memories of former company members and friends she has long since lost contact with.

Hooks

Former Paladin: Her career, though short-lived, led her to aid her former free company on many an escort mission. She was also known to take on personal contracts for protection. When aid would be needed for the Dragonsong War, Diana heeded that call. Though, succumbing to her injuries and hidden fears, she retired her sword and shield early.Chocobo raiser and handler: A trade not only of her own, but her entire family. Due to unforeseen circumstances, any raising or handling has now moved to her uncle's ranch in the Shroud. Her own family's that was once set up in Thanalan is nothing more than a scorched farmhouse and long abandoned stables. However, that doesn't take away the fact that her immediate family has produced exceptional birds from their flock. "Bomb-proof", sure-footed and trusty to a T, you can have every onze of confidence in your chocobo if purchased from her.Her brother: Evander was once involved with the sultansworn before his own retirement, and offered his soulstone to his sister. But that was long ago. Should any Thanalan natives come across a headline from a newpaper of a man who had been tried for murder with that name, then it may be vaguely remembered. Now, there are rumors of his escape from gaol.The TWANG: The accent might sound familiar to some, especially those well traveled in farther reaches, into the new world and NORTH... Perhaps she learned the cadence from a family member?Back to work: Perhaps you could be the one to persuade her to bring out her sword and shield again? She may even be inspired to pursue in training further as a paladin as her skills were halted after the Dragonsong war. It may take some effort as she is beyond stubborn!
